The Mayville Police Department currently has two bicycles used during the spring and summer months for patrol. Four patrol officers are trained to patrol the city on bicycle during special events and when shift coverage allows. The Mayville Police Department's Bicycle Patrol emphasis is placed on community policing and crime prevention techniques. The major advantage held by our bicycle patrol officers is their face-to-face contact with the citizens and visitors.
