Every fall, one week prior to Deer gun season opening, the Mayville Police Department opens the Police range to the public providing hunters with a safe environment to sight in their weapons. The range, which is staffed by Police firearms instructors, provide the targets and instructions to all area hunters.

Requirements
	All shooters must wear eye and ear protection.
	Those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and bring a hunter saftey certificate.
	Hunters are required to carry their firearms unloaded and secured when entering the range area.
